The Atlanta Steeplechase Kingston Downs – (25,000 spectators) ~ The Best Lawn Party in the South.
Gore Springs Road, Kingston, GA – it is the only address on this road.
Saturday, 10 am-6pm - Only two Qualifying Divisions of Competition open to anyone at any level.
The Atlanta Steeplechase should have record breaking numbers again this year. Also, remember that this event has fun filled events in the infield for the kids as well as, beer tents, and tail gating parties.

The US Disc Dog Southern Nationals is an action-packed event which will be held at a new and exciting event location, the Atlanta Steeplechase – Kingston Downs in Kingston, GA (between Cartersville, and Rome on Hwy 411). WOOF! Sports USA and GADDC have secured the Atlanta Steeplechase as the 2010 event site again. The Atlanta Steeplechase one of the most prestigious Equestrian events in the South and they are excited to add one of the most prestigious dog sporting events in the South to their event.
The Disc Dog Southern Nationals will offer two Qualifying Divisions in a one day format, both Super-Open Freestyle and Super-Pro Toss & Fetch will be held on Saturday April 24, 2010. There will not be any other divisions offer at this late date. However, both divisions will be open to anyone that wants to compete.
Competitors will be able to park inside the 60 acre infield, fairly close to the competition field. Competition starts at 10am so we recommend getting their earlier by 8am.
Directions: I-75 North to Exit 293 (Hwy 411 and turn left heading West). Pass the Holiday Inn on Hwy 411 and travel 4 miles to Hwy 41 (which is also Joe Frank Harris Pkwy and Cobb Parkway). Take 411 South (landmark - take first Right past the Huddle House) which is also Hwy 41 North for 3 miles and follow 411 South to Rome. Once Hwy 411 splits off of Hwy 41 you will drive on Hwy 411 towards Rome/Kingston from this point about 10.5 miles to mile marker #1 and you will see the signs for the Atlanta Steeplechase on your right at Kingston Downs. Show your parking pass at the gate and drive back following the Disc Dog signs to the Track, then go directly to the Will Call Tent.
Please make your hotel reservations ASAP the block is closing with in 10 days. If you have already made a reservations please make sure you’re your reservation is under the Disc Dog Southern Nationals Block at the Holiday INN.

There will be almost 25,000 spectators in cars, buses, and RV trying to get the Steeplechase opening at 9am, so arrive early.
Do not take Hwy 20 Exit 290 as they say traffic will be detoured off of this exit.
Please take I-75 Exit 293 using Hwy 411 South to Rome/Kingston.
From the Holiday INN Cartersville, GA it is a normal 12 minutes drive.
Parking and Entry into the event!!!
Print out your Parking Pass and Canine Entry pass for free entrance into the Atlanta Steeplechase from the GADDC website, also as a competitor or volunteer show a Frisbee disc. As a competitor and/or volunteer please arrive early, arrive at 8am with registration starting at 8:30am competition at 10am. You will have to take your parking pass and exchange it at the Will Call tent for an Atlanta Steeplechase Disc Dog Competitor parking pass to park inside the 60 acre tract. NEW this year BRING YOUR OWN TENTS. You can bring your own coolers and lunches for this event or purchase a barbecue lunch onsite from a vendor. The Races start around 12noon and the track will only be open for about 15 minutes at time to cross back and forth. You will be parking inside and should have not reason to cross back over during the competition.
ONLY people within your own car, within a competitor’s car or volunteers, will be allowed to receive free entrance to the Atlanta Steeplechase. Extra cars with no competitor will have to pay entrance fees.
Beautiful trophy cups will be awarded for the first through third teams and each Qualifier will receive a custom USDDN medal.
The Atlanta
Steeplechase (rain or shine) is known for being the “Best Lawn Party of the
South.” If you have a lot of family members and friends that want to
attend they are welcome to purchase individual tickets at the gate or tailgate
