Club Awards
Competition isn't the only important thing in disc dogging. Without the hard work of many volunteers the GADDC wouldn't be able to serve its members or the community through competitions, clinics, and support of canine related volunteer efforts.
There are six awards given by the Club each year.
- Argus Cup - Rewards consistent participation and performance at GADDC Club events throughout the year.
Teams will be awarded points in all divisions at GADDC Competitions.
- Junior Handler of the Year - This is a new award for 2001. Awarded to the most consistent junior handler (12 years or younger as at 01/01/01) at GADDC Club events. Teams will be awarded points for performance and participation.
Junior Handlers are not be eligible for The Argus Cup.
- Sargent Stratosphere Rookie of the Year - Presented by the Club Executive to a Club Member who demonstrates outstanding performances at GADDC Events,
in their first year performing in a new division.
- Most Improved Award - Presented by the Club Executive to the Team that demonstrates the most improved performance
at GADDC Events throughout the year. 2001 Winners: Damian Noud, David DeMent, David McCrory
- Kiera Dedicated Service Award - Presented by the Club Executive to a Club Member who demonstrates outstanding service to the Club throughout the year. 2001 Winner: Eve Mc Dowell, Mike McDowell
- Rush to Excellence Award - Presented by Dual World-Finalist Runner-Up, Steven Heeter, in honor of his great dog Radical Rush. Determined by competitor vote at the Georgia State Championships, this award is given to the handler that best demonstrates excellence through their dedication for canine disc, by achieving more than others think is possible in the sport.
Non-GADDC Members are eligible for this award.
