2004 Georgia State Frisbee® Dog Championships

Anyone with a dog that has shown a
willingness to catch a Frisbee disc is invited to compete. Spectators
welcome FREE of charge at the GA State Frisbee Dog Championships.
Spectators are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, and their dogs,
although all dogs must be leashed except when competing.
This will be a two day contest with
spectacular Freestyle teams competing for the GA State title on Saturday and
four Toss & Fetch Divisions: Super-Pro, Pro, Novice, and Junior Toss & Fetch
divisions on Sunday. Super-Pro is a division that gives credit for throws beyond the normal 40 yard maximum.
As always, the competition in the Super-Open Division will be intense. Each
year, competitors travel from a dozen or more states and more than 150
teams usually compete at the GA States. This year's event, like always, will showcase
talented teams from around the nation.
On-site registration starts at 9:00am. Competition
starts at 10:00am.
Top scorers in Junior Novice,Novice, and Pro Toss & Fetch will advance to a
final round of Toss & Fetch.
Open competition will consist of one 90-second round of Toss &
Fetch and one 90 second round of Freestyle.
Super-Open competition will consist of one 120-second round of
Freestyle, a 90-second round of Toss &
Fetch, and a final round of Freestyle.
Frisbee Dog competition entry fees are only $5.00 for the Junior Novice,
Novice, Pro, and Super-Pro Divisions and $10.00 for the Open and Super-Open
Divisions. All GADDC members receive a $5.00 discount off their entry fee (for up to two dogs),
and all competitors will be eligible for great prizes that will be
distributed to the top finishers in all divisions.
Argus Cup Event
The 2004 Georgia State Frisbee® Championships is the last event of the year that is
eligible for Argus Cup points and consideration towards all GADDC Season
Awards.
There is a block of rooms at the newly remolded Holiday INN in Cartersville,
GA. They are dog friendly and the hotel grounds are fenced on three

Competitors are welcome to erect Ezy-Ups or similar tents that are not supported by external ropes or
strings (tripping hazard). As with all GADDC events, spectator entry is free.
Fastback Frisbee® discs will be available on site.

- Take I-75 north to exit #283 Emerson Altoona Road
- turn left off the exit, go 9/10 mile, pass under I-75 bridge and the US 41 bridge
- turn left onto Old Alabama Road, travel 4.1 miles
- turn right onto Douthit Ferry Road travel 1.3 miles to stop sign
- turn right onto Pine Grove Road, travel 4/10 mile
- park will be on the right
- follow the park entrance drive all the way straight back to the football/soccer field.
