2001 Georgia State Frisbee® Dog Championships

The first 100 competitors will receive an official contest T-shirt and a quantity of FREE Frisbee® Discs!

Top scorers in Junior Novice,Novice, and Pro Toss & Fetch will advance to a final round of Toss & Fetch.

Open competition will consist of one, 90-second elimination round of Toss & Fetch with the top scorers advancing to a round of Freestyle.

Super-Open competition will consist of one 120-second elimination round of Freestyle with the top scorers advancing to a 90-second round of Toss & Fetch and an additional round of Freestyle.

Argus Cup Event

The 2001 Georgia State Frisbee® Championships is the last event of the year that is eligible for Argus Cup points and consideration towards all GADDC Season Awards.

Hotel Information

We have made arrangements with the Cartersville Holiday Inn for a groups rate for any disc dog teams coming to the GA State Frisbee® Dog Championships. This very clean facility is right off I-75, has large grassy areas for your dogs, has a pool, and is close to Cartersville.

Directions

  1. Take I-75 north to exit #283 Emerson Altoona Road
  2. turn left off the exit, go 9/10 mile, pass under I-75 bridge and the US 41 bridge
  3. turn left onto Old Alabama Road, travel 4.1 miles
  4. turn right onto Douthit Ferry Road travel 1.3 miles to stop sign
  5. turn right onto Pine Grove Road, travel 4/10 mile
  6. park will be on the right
  7. follow the park entrance drive all the way straight back to the football/soccer field.

More Information

Competitors are welcome to erect Ezy-Ups or similar tents that are not supported by external ropes or strings (tripping hazard). As with all GADDC events, spectator entry is free. Detailed competition information including rules will be included in the next newsletter.

Fastback Frisbee® discs will be available on site.
