WOW! The US Disc Dog Freedom Weekend Nationals was a fabulous feast of fun with awesome weather, excellent crowds and 202 competing teams. 33 teams in Saturday's Super-Open Division set the stage for a weekend of spirited competition. We know you've heard it a couple of times already, but the weekend was unbelievable. It was truly some of the hottest Disc Doggin' we have ever seen. In our opinion, the Memorial Day Weekend will forever be spent in Anderson for the Freedom Weekend Nationals. First, we want to thank the organizers of the FWA festival for everything they have provided to Woof Sports and GADDC. They definitely have bent over backwards for this event, and it shows. Second, Woof Sports! Melissa and Steven Heeter. We couldn't have these competitions without them. We know Steven is the Gestapo of events, but he wants everyone to have a fair chance with no distractions. We hope your 90-120 seconds were without distraction. Third, thank you to all the competitors and judges from across the country. We hope you enjoyed the time with friend and foe. Thanks for supporting our club and the sponsors that we have put together. Last, the volunteers of the Greater Atlanta Dog and Disc Club. We have the best crew anywhere, anytime. We hope everyone has a safe summer and enjoys the upcoming events. And we (hopefully) will see everyone at the Georgia State Frisbee(r) Dog Championships in October. And now for the results.
